The specialized meeting "Investigating the challenge of desertification in Iran and presenting solutions" by the Imam Khomeini Higher Education Center (IHEC) was held in cooperation with the Natural Resources and Watershed Organization of Iran, the Forestry and Range Research Institute of Iran, the Alborz Province Agricultural Jihad Organization and the Center for Open Innovation and Technology Transfer, Vesta.

According to the public relations report of Imam Khomeini Higher Education Center, the meeting was held on August 3, 1403. In this meeting, 20 experts, managers and faculty members of the IHEC and leading operators of the agricultural sector, and more than 90 online connection points were present.

4 experts gave speeches in this field:

1) Hamidreza Abbasi, a member of the scientific staff of the Forest and Pasture Research Institute with the topic "Challenge and dust management in Iran".

2) Yaser Ghasemi Arian, a member of the scientific staff of the Forest and Pasture Research Institute with the topic "Explanation of social and economic issues affecting the occurrence and intensification of the phenomenon of desertification and dust storms".

3) Gholamreza Haderbadi, director of the office of desert affairs in natural resources and watershed management organization in Iran with the topic of "the relationship between sustainable rural development and combating desertification"

4) Neda Nikwash, CEO of Vesta Open Innovation and Technology Transfer Center with the topic "Desertification using industrial plants"
